On January 17, 2028, at around 12:30 pm, there were louds roars from a nearby forest that send people in the small Bastardville town scampering for safety. What has started as a normal day was now coming to an end with a dramatic twist.
2028年1月17日，下午12:30左右，附近的一片森林里传来了轰鸣声，这使得巴斯德维尔小镇上的人们纷纷逃命。本来是正常的，现在却以戏剧性的转折结束了。
“Did you hear that?” One of the residents asked.
“你听到了吗？”一位居民问道。
“What was that?” Another one interjected.

Angela answered, “That’s the Beast that lives in the thinning forest at the boundaries of this town. My father has been hunting it for quite a while.”
安吉拉回答说：“这是一只生活在这个城镇边界的稀疏森林中的野兽。我父亲已经猎杀它很长一段时间了。”
The Beast, which had only been heard at night puzzled the residents of Bastardville. No one had seen it. Moreover, it seemed to be defying its traditions of roaring at night by roaring during the day, a fact that scared the resident.
这只野兽只有在晚上才被听到，这使巴斯塔德维尔的居民感到困惑。没有人见过它。此外，它似乎在违背夜间咆哮的传统，在白天咆哮，这一事实吓坏了居民。
Bastardville in itself was a strange town. Unlike many other towns in the country, where men made decisions and women were expected to engage in house chore, the women in this city were the key decision-makers as well as family bread winners. They even took self-defence classes to defend themselves against vices such as sexual harassment.

Together with their unseen Beast, they lived as a family. Therefore, when they learned that the loud scary roar they had heard just after midday was that of their Beast, everyone knew something was wrong.

Angela, who was yet to get married despite attaining the age of 16 years, spotted something peculiar at the edge of the forest. She went to investigate. “I think someone is pursuing our Beast”, she thought to herself.
